Police Take Down Teepee and Remove Gear From Peaceful Protest On Broadway
Despite the numerous times that teepees have been set up in Memorial Park and on the Legislative grounds, Winnipeg Police have recently decided that all temporary structures on those grounds are being considered permanent and therefore must be removed immediately. They have already taken down one teepee and hauled away a bunch of gear including hockey nets and hockey sticks.
